From June 6 to August 12, the Church of Peace served 33,226 meals to 14 different sites. Eleven sites were in Rock Island and three in Moline. We supervised a second kitchen at Hope UCC where the meals were prepared for the sites in that area. Thanks to our staff. For 49 days these people put the children of the neighborhood at the top of their priority list. We appreciate their dedication. Thanks also to all the volunteers who, if not for them, we would be unable to administer the program.
