Solitary Confinement in America with speaker Anthony Gay

Sunday, October 28, 9:00 a.m., at Church of Peace

Join speaker Anthony Gay as he tells his story of life in the American prison system. Mr. Gay shares his struggle to endure years of solitary confinement and to psychologically survive that dehumanizing environment. He was recently freed from solitary confinement when the duration of his consecutive sentences was ruled improper and reduced by eighty-four years. Mr. Gay believes “the greatest agent for change is awareness.” He is writing a book about his experience.

Mr. Gay and Rev. Mariah Marlin-Warfield, pastor of Church of Peace, will answer questions and speak about the importance of communication with prisoners in solitary confinement. They will discuss how members of the community can get involved.
