Music is an integral part of worship at the Church of Peace. The praise band, chancel choir, and bell choir bring great music to worship. Throughout the year, different ensembles, vocalists, and instrumentalists perform at special worship services and events. Read below to learn more about music at Church of Peace.
The Chancel Choir is Church of Peace’s main choir. The choir rehearses in the evening a couple times a month and sings during worship twice a month from September through May. The choir music includes classical music, spirituals and gospel music, contemporary compositions, and other church music. The Chancel Choir is open to everyone 7th grade and older.
The Bell Choir rehearses every Sunday after worship, and performs once a month during worship from September through May. The bell choir plays traditional handbells and choir chimes, and plays a wide variety of music. All ages are welcome to participate.
The Church of Peace Children’s Choir practices during Sunday School and performs once a month in worship from September through May. It also participates in the Sunday School Christmas play. The Children’s Choir is open to all children from Kindergarten through 6th grade.
