Be in “pink” on March 30! You may recall that the 3rd Sunday of Advent, Gaudete, features a pink candle and celebrates the Advent attribute of “joy”. Well there is a similar Sunday in lent, Laetare, which falls halfway through the Lenten season and is on March 30th this year. Laetare, or “rejoice”, is a day of celebration on which the austerity of Lent is briefly lessened. Pink is the color of this day, too.
We invite you to wear pink on March 30th, and to stop by Fellowship Hall after the service for pink care, pink ice cream, and pink punch – all served on pink dinnerware!
