Easter Egg Hunt
All children are invited to our annual Easter Egg hunt on Easter Sunday, March 31 at 9:00 a.m. The hunt will be outside if the weather permits and inside if it is inclement weather. The invite includes grandchildren and friends also. See you there!
Weekly Lenten Book Study
Join our new pastor, Pastor Mariah Marlin- Warfield, on Wednesday evenings throughout Lent as she leads a book study on Unbinding Your Heart by Martha Grace Reese. Bless Your Heart Sunday is Sunday, February 17th. Wear red to church that day not only to be with the theme to recognize heart health, but to also welcome our new pastor!

Ash Wednesday Observance
Pastor Emeritus Ken Kuenning conducted the first service during this interim period, and he will fittingly conduct the last interim worship service on Ash Wednesday, February 13th at 7 pm. This service will include Holy Communion and disposition of ashes. Dinner served before the service is at 5:30 pm.
Renew your wedding vows
On Sunday, February 10th (the Sunday before Valentine’s Day)immediately following the morning worship service, Rev. Crede will conduct a short RENEWAL OF WEDDING VOWS service in the sanctuary for all couples whowould like to renew their vows.

Computer lab opens
Thanks to Aaron Waytenick, Brian Wischnak, Rhys Fullerlove and Luke Cooley, our computer lab is ready to go for the January 14th opening date!
Aaron and Brian put up a wall between Room 2 and Room 3, and Rhys and Luke did the wiring for the computers.

Church adds new after-school program
A new after-school program will begin at the Church of Peace in the parsonage on Tuesday, January 15th. Spring Forward Learning Center will conduct the program and the church will furnish hot meals. Children from the Rock Island Academy will be here on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays until May for programs that begin around 3 [...]
Church of Peace welcomes new interim pastor
Rev. John Crede will fill the pulpit beginning January 13th. He will continue until Pastor Mariah Marlin-Warfield arrives in February. Rev. Crede will be here on Tuesdays and Sundays, and is available for pastoral care.
