On Sunday, January 30th, the Annual Meeting will be held after church. Everyone is invited to bring a dish to share. Immediately following the shared meal, the meeting will begin. It is important for everyone to attend to discuss the business of the church to which we are all a part of.
Filiae Pacis and Tri Mu Circles are joining forces to host a “Meal Packaging Event” on February 20th for the non-profit “Kids Against Hunger – Your Quad Cities” organization. Mr. John Kessler of Moline spoke to our circles in October about the organization’s mission to provide fully nutritious food to impoverished children around the world. [...]
You are cordially invited to attend the Trinity Parish Nurse Program Anointing Service for Nancy Olson on Sunday, January 23, 2011, 1t 3:00 pm, at the Church of Peace. The service will include a rededication for all Parish Nurses. Light refreshments will be served following the service.
Right after services on December 26, our family went to Chicago for a few days. One of the places we visited was the Museum of Contemporary Art. While there we saw this particular piece. Never thought of our church signs as pieces of contemporary art. Hm.
The Church of Peace will have two Christmas Eve services on Dec. 24. Join us for our family service at 4:30 p.m. or for our candle light service at 10:30 p.m.
The Church of Peace is hosting a special candlelight service for the community on Sunday, December 19th at 6 pm to observe the longest night of the year.
