On Sunday, July 14, we welcomed Dr. Kit Evans-Ford as our speaker. Dr. Ford was one of only five people in the entire country to be awarded the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Award for Outstanding Public Service Benefiting Local Communities. Dr. Ford is the founder of Argrow’s House of Healing and Hope in Davenport, Iowa. Argrow’s House is a safe space where free services are offered for women healing from violence and abuse, including a successful enterprise where women create bath products that provide a living wage. Dr. Kit is also an Assistant Theology Professor at St. Ambrose and serves as a minister at Grace City Church in Rock Island, alongside her husband.
