Join us as we try something new! A regular, weekly Centering Prayer group is forming here at Church of Peace! To get us started off, we will meet every Friday at 1:00 p.m., beginning on November 2. Centering Prayer is an ancient form of “listening prayer”, similar to meditation but with the intention of simply resting in God’s grace. The Contemplative Outreach website describes it this way: We experience God’s presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself. This method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship. This form of prayer is both a group activity and an individual practice. You don’t have to have any experience in centering prayer or meditation to join this group. All you need is the desire to seek a deeper relationship with God! We are all beginners in this practice, so come join us and we will learn together!

When: Fridays at 1:00 p.m. Beginning on November 2.

Where: Gathering in the sanctuary.

Hope to see you there! If you have questions, please contact Katherine Mulhern.
