Once again, the Health and Wellness Committee is collecting Valentines for Church of Peace members who are homebound, in assisted living, and in nursing facilities. This is a chance to get creative if you enjoy making homemade cards and greetings.
Last year, Mitch Elliott’s students made Valentine greetings for this effort, and are doing so again this year. The kids’ homemade cards are a big hit with the recipients.
The cards will be delivered to residents of Friendship Manor at Church of Peace’s Valentine party there on Feb. 11. Cards will be delivered to others during that week by the Deacons and Parish Nurses.
There will be a box in the Narthex through Feb. 9 where you can place your Valentines.
